Legislation Introduced in the House to Fight Patent Trolls
Posted on March 5, 2013Representatives Peter DeFazio (D-OR) and Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) have introduced the “Saving High-Tech Innovators from Egregious Legal Disputes Act of 2013” to the House of Representatives. The Bill is intended to protect patent holders from frivolous lawsuits filed by patent trolls by requiring the losing party in a patent lawsuit to cover the winning party’s legal costs.
